Return to the Galileo Underground

“Programming, imprinting, and conditioning whole populations can only work where there is total secrecy about what is being done."

-Robert Anton Wilson

Husking is a game inspired by both the Socratic dialectic and the techniques of early Encounter Groups.

To start, a psychological topic, often related to personality or development, is chosen and discussed at length by the group. Husking begins after a candidate for being Husked is established, which is often done by drawing lots or rolling a die. That person takes hold of the Husking Stone and is the focus of whatever analytical invasions the society wishes to put foward towards the understanding of the current question and the mind of man. When the Stone is dropped or passed, an act that is completely under the control of the Husked, the exercise ends or is continued with a new subject to focus the group's attentions on. The new subject is either the one who the Husking Stone was passed to, or can be established by lots if the group still desires to continue on the same topic after someone has dropped the Stone.
